START-UP VISA PLANNED, BUT WILL IT WORK?

The government announced consultations on a new "start-up" visa that will replace the former entrepreneur program. No specifics are yet available, and the consultation process will take several months. The question will be how they will ensure compliance and that the applicants in fact do business, to avoid the program becoming a new way to "park money and leave", or that those who do not comply are in fact removed. The entrepreneur program failed because there was no relaiable compliance mechanism.
